DKING'S BIO

     With the focus and drive beyond his years, combined with industry shattering aptitude it’s no secret that DKing is a star, poise for greatness. He was introduced to the piano and drums at age two.  At nine years old he was playing professionally alongside his father who is a well established musician. Dking joined the jazz band in both junior high school and high school. At the age of fourteen he began producing and writing his own music. At sixteen he built a studio in his room, it wasn’t anything spectacular, an outdated computer with little memory, a microphone and a pair of headphones. He set it up so every morning he could wake up to his first love because to Dking music is art and art is life. It soon became apparent that his talent surpassed the capabilities of his micro studio. Realizing his potential, he determined to take command of his gift and attend school for audio engineering and the business of music. He was officially introduced to the music industry at age seventeen doing promotions and marketing for Def Jams Street Team, which allowed him the opportunity to learn from and work with some of the hottest producers and artists known in the business. DKING knows what it feels like to struggle, he knows where hard work can take you, and he also knows that it takes commitment and diligence to get there. His musical influences and ingenuity are not only grounded in hip-hop but also in jazz, gospel, R&B and reggae which gives his music a multifarious, multi-cultural feel. In September of 2008 at age twenty three, he opened up Brick House Studios whose clients include Fabolous, Maino and Serani. The studio was featured in LIL Mama My Super Sweet 16 on MTV. His music has also been featured on The Wendy Williams show twice and is currently working with Mase on his new project. Acts such as Usher, Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, Kanye West and French Montana are some of the careers he helped to elevate. Today Dking works hard editing his own videos and running his website with a membership of over two thousand. He continues to expand his resume while simultaneously working on DKING's newest project Ground Zero Hero which is soon to be release.
